As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will take technical responsibility for planning, developing and reliably operating our clients’ multi-site IT infrastructure You will combine in-depth expertise in Windows and Linux environments with experience in virtualization, networking, IT security and automation Working with an international team, you will operate and develop secure, high-performance and HA solutions—from individual infrastructure services to complete data center architectures Your impact - Run and secure the infrastructure: You design, manage, and optimize hybrid environments alongside firewalls, multi-site networks and enterprise storage. - Managing identities and cloud services: You administer and advance Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune, ensuring secure access control and modern software deployment. - Ensuring resilience and recovery: You architect high-availability systems, eliminate single points of failure, and create, test, and execute multi-site disaster recovery and backup plans (e.g., Veeam). - Driving security and compliance: You implement security concepts, handle system hardening, fix vulnerabilities from penetration tests, and maintain technical compliance documentation for regulated environments. - Leading projects and automate operations: You manage infrastructure projects, coordinate stakeholders, automate recurring tasks, maintain system documentation (Docusnap), and mentor your team. - Projects & Collaboration: - - You will plan infrastructure projects, take technical responsibility for subprojects, create effort estimates, and design project schedules. - - You will coordinate technical dependencies, plan and implement changes including risk assessments and rollback plans while collaborating closely with customers, internal teams, external vendors, and supporting your team's development. Your profile What you should bring to the role - A degree in Computer Science, Informatics or comparable IT-related discipline projects. - You have extensive hands-on background in Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) environments, including core protocols (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Kerberos). - You bring strong command of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V cluster operations, combined with deep SAN/NAS and enterprise hardware knowledge. - You have proven expertise with Fortinet FortiGate, Ubiquiti, TCP/IP routing (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and secure VPN tunnels (IPsec, WireGuard). - You have in-depth proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Cloud integrations, Entra ID, and automated endpoint management via Intune. - You are a structured, analytical engineer who effectively manages technical dependencies, communicates fluidly within an international team, and handles security incidents professionally. - You have excellent communication skills, have experience in advising clients individually, and are confident in using visualization tools to present your findings. - You are highly proficient in English and feel completely at ease working in a global project environment.
