Life Underwriting Consultant Senior

The Senior Life Underwriting Consultant evaluates medical and financial risks for both routine and complex life insurance applications, making informed underwriting decisions within delegated authority of up to $5 million. This role combines technical expertise, independent judgment, and strong relationship management to support sound risk assessment and effective distribution partnerships. You will review medical records, financial documentation, and other underwriting evidence to determine appropriate risk classifications in line with established guidelines. Acting as a trusted resource for agents, distribution partners, and internal teams, you will explain decisions and provide guidance on products and underwriting practices. The position also offers opportunities to mentor less experienced colleagues, contribute to departmental projects, and represent the organization at industry events. This is a full-time remote opportunity with occasional travel.
