Tech Lead (Backend): Billing & Fees

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tech Lead (Backend): Billing & Fees based in Ireland. This is an opportunity to lead the technical evolution of a critical billing platform within a growing financial technology environment. You will shape the architecture and roadmap for services that manage fee configuration, transaction calculations, invoicing, adjustments, and reconciliation. The role focuses on replacing manual processes with automated, scalable infrastructure that supports increasingly complex commercial agreements and high transaction volumes. You will combine hands-on backend engineering with technical leadership, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring engineers. Working closely with Product, Finance, Commercial, and other engineering teams, you will translate complex financial requirements into reliable software solutions. The position offers a hybrid or remote working approach within an international, distributed environment.
