IT Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to help us design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that powers Avafin's products and internal operations. You'll take end-to-end ownership of tasks across a wide surface area — from Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines to monitoring stacks and network infrastructure. At Avafin, our IT Infrastructure team is the backbone that keeps everything running. We own uptime. We build the systems, automate the workflows, and run the production platforms that every team at Avafin depends on — both on-premises and in the cloud. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES - Managing and evolving our Microsoft 365 environment - Maintaining and improving Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and cloud) - Building and owning a cross-functional CI/CD system - Setting up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting - Automating day-to-day tasks, service integrations, and operational processes - Collaborating with development teams to improve the development lifecycle and ensure smooth deployments - Enforcing security best practices and compliance with industry regulations across all infrastructure and deployment processes - Supporting Service Desk Agents to resolve staff requests efficiently - Owning network and server maintenance across on-prem and cloud environments as well as routing with VyOS WE EXPECT FROM YOU - Solid experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) - Strong background in CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Flux) - Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments - Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar) - Familiarity with monitoring stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK) - Experience with on-prem networking, server hardware and routing (VyOS) - Security-first mindset with knowledge of compliance standards - Database knowledge (PostgreSQL) WE WILL OFFER YOU - Remote work — up to 100% remote, or hybrid if possible, up to you - Flexible working hours — only need to cover core working hours with the team - 34-hour working week — have more time for you and your hobbies at a competitive full-time salary - License courses, workshops and learning opportunities within a badge system COUNTRY, YOU ARE LOCATED - Latvia
