Engineering Information Architect - Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid)

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid) Eligibility: Candidates must be based within the European Union Industry: Energy sector experience strongly preferred Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Engineering Information Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise data capabilities supporting engineering systems, digital engineering initiatives, analytics platforms, and AI-driven transformation programmes. This position will play a key role in establishing scalable, governed, and reusable data foundations across a complex engineering application landscape. Working closely with architecture teams, platform owners, engineering stakeholders, and analytics specialists, you will ensure data is structured, integrated, and managed to support strategic business objectives and emerging AI use cases. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain the target-state data architecture for engineering platforms and digital engineering ecosystems. - Design enterprise-level data models covering products, engineering assets, processes, system relationships, and digital twin environments. - Define integration standards and connectivity patterns between engineering applications, enterprise platforms, analytics environments, cloud services, and AI solutions. - Establish trusted data foundations to support engineering reporting, operational insights, executive dashboards, and platform performance measurement. - Drive implementation of data governance frameworks, including ownership models, stewardship processes, metadata standards, lineage, quality controls, security, and compliance requirements. - Enable AI and Generative AI initiatives through the creation of AI-ready datasets, semantic data structures, knowledge frameworks, vector-search capabilities, and controlled access models. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering leaders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions. - Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on projects, enhancements, and transformation initiatives to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability. - Improve data quality, reporting automation, and self-service analytics capabilities across engineering functions. - Produce architecture blueprints, standards, reference models, design documentation, and implementation guidelines for data and integration solutions. Required Experience - Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Information Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, or similar disciplines. - Proven track record designing enterprise data platforms, data products, data warehouses, data lakes, and large-scale information models. - Experience delivering integration solutions within complex global organisations. - Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing environments including PLM, ERP, digital engineering platforms, and software delivery ecosystems. - Hands-on experience with data governance, metadata management, master data management, data quality, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. - Experience enabling analytics, machine learning, generative AI, knowledge management, or semantic search initiatives through well-governed data foundations. - Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and strategic architecture skills. Preferred Experience - Experience within the energy, utilities, power transmission, renewables, or broader industrial engineering sectors. - Exposure to digital engineering transformation programmes and engineering data ecosystems. - Knowledge of modern cloud-native data and analytics platforms.
