M13 - Business Analyst

Overview We are supporting a client in migrating a legacy application, while maintaining existing business functionality and system behaviour. We are looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with business users, the client and technical teams to understand requirements, analyse existing processes and ensure the migrated system meets business expectations. Responsibilities - Gather, analyse and document functional and business requirements. - Analyse existing AS-IS processes, workflows, business rules and system functionality. - Define and document TO-BE processes and functional requirements. - Prepare functional specifications, process flows and system documentation. - Work with technical teams to clarify functional requirements and system behaviour. - Identify functional gaps, dependencies and business impacts arising from the migration. - Support functional testing, UAT and defect validation. - Compare legacy and migrated system behaviour and investigate functional discrepancies. - Maintain requirements traceability, issues, clarifications and key decisions. - Work closely with client stakeholders and offshore technical teams to support project delivery. Must Have - 4+ years of experience as a Functional BA, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar. - Strong experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis. - Experience preparing functional specifications and process documentation. - Experience with functional testing, UAT and defect management. - Experience working with enterprise or legacy applications. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. - Good communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical teams. Nice to Have - Experience in legacy system migration or modernisation projects. - Exposure to Sybase ASE, Microsoft SQL Server or PowerBuilder. - Basic SQL and relational database knowledge. - Experience with data mapping and migration validation. - Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or Visio.
