Azure Cloud Engineer

Role: Azure Cloud Engineer Location: Cracow, Poland Work Model: Hybrid Office Requirement: 6 Days/month Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer to join our cloud engineering team. The role involves designing, building, and managing secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable Azure infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. The successful candidate will work closely with cloud engineering, application, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure-by-design cloud solutions that meet established security, compliance, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities - Build, configure, and manage Azure cloud foundation platforms to support application deployments. - Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform. - Design, document, develop, and maintain reusable infrastructure patterns, modules, and code libraries. - Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage common cloud services, including identity and access management (IAM), networking, monitoring, operating systems, and containers. - Manage Azure connectivity and networking, including ExpressRoute, DNS, IP address allocation, traffic routing, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall. - Work with approved hardened Linux and Windows operating system images. - Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to defined security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. - Implement and maintain operational controls covering networking, firewalls, logging, monitoring, availability, and resilience. - Collaborate with application teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant cloud infrastructure. Required Skills and Experience - Hands-on experience building and managing a range of services on Microsoft Azure. - Strong understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and practices. - Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology stacks. - Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure automation tools. - Knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), compliance, auditing, and monitoring tools. - Understanding of Azure networking, including ExpressRoute, DNS, routing, NSGs, and Azure Firewall. - Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud infrastructure security practices. - Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across application, infrastructure, and security teams. Preferred Skills - Experience building reusable Terraform modules and standardized cloud infrastructure patterns. - Knowledge of cloud governance, operational risk management, high availability, and disaster recovery principles. - Experience implementing security controls and compliance standards in enterprise cloud environments.
