x7trade.com is a neutral SaaS platform providing secure, cloud-based solutions to simplify ICS2 Full ENS compliance and customs clearance for non-EU bulk B2C e-commerce shipments into the EU. We are also actively moving into classical customs clearance of B2B goods imported into the EU from third countries. Tailored for eCommerce cargo, the platform is used daily by customs brokers, freight forwarders, postal operators, and logistics service providers to streamline communication between supply chain stakeholders and customs authorities. x7trade automates data upload, declaration validation and submission, and real-time tracking of customs responses and shipment statuses. The platform supports parcel- and item-level ICS2 ENS submissions, enabling efficient, compliant, and faster deliveries across multiple EU Member States without additional technical or development costs. x7trade continues to expand its integrations and capabilities to enhance e-commerce operations for industry professionals. Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at x7trade is a full-time, on-site role based in the Tallinn Metropolitan Area, responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution. The CTO will oversee software development teams, define and maintain the platform architecture, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of x7trade’s cloud-based solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include aligning technology initiatives with business goals, prioritising and managing product development roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional projects with product, operations, and compliance teams. The CTO will establish engineering best practices, mentor technical leaders, and drive continuous improvement in development processes and delivery quality. The role also involves staying current with relevant technologies and regulations, assessing new tools and integrations, and representing the technology function in strategic discussions with partners and stakeholders. Qualifications - Strong background in Software Development, with experience leading engineering teams and delivering secure, scalable SaaS platforms. - Proficiency in IT Strategy and Architecture, including defining technology roadmaps, system design, and cloud infrastructure choices. - Trust but verify approach when it comes to using AI agents and tools - Hands-on experience in Product Development, collaborating with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, managing multiple initiatives, timelines, and resources in a fast-paced environment. - Previous leadership experience in a senior technology role, preferably within logistics, customs, fintech, or e-commerce platforms. - Knowledge of cloud technologies, APIs, data security, and compliance-related systems; familiarity with EU customs or regulatory frameworks is an advantage. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues. - Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
