Senior Solution Engineer

Job Overview You will join SUPCON’s Solution Team as a member of the international expert group, stationed in Spain to provide local pre‑sales technical support and solution design. You will develop and deliver integrated industrial solutions for all local customers. As SUPCON’s representative, you will cooperate with local branches to conduct technical communication with key clients focusing on automation, industrial AI, Industrial IoT and related technologies. Acting as a bridge linking client requirements, business objectives and technical implementation, this role delivers scalable and effective solutions aligned with the company’s long‑term strategic plans. Job Responsibilities 1. Demand Research & Analysis Collaborate with Spain‑based sales teams to engage with customers and identify their operational pain points and actual requirements. Organize technical workshops, site surveys and project feasibility studies as required to support sales operations in Spain. Translate client business requirements into technical specifications for solution design and technical proposal compilation. 2. Solution Architecture & Design Build end‑to‑end complete technical solutions based on SUPCON’s proprietary product portfolio, covering: Distributed Control System (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Advanced Process Control (APC), and a full suite of industrial software. 3. Pre‑sales Technical Support & Client Engagement Work closely with sales teams to provide full‑cycle technical support throughout opportunity development and drive project delivery. Customize technical presentations, product demonstrations and comprehensive solution briefings for Spanish clients. Assist in proposal drafting and respond to all technical inquiries and clarifications raised by customers. 4. Documentation & Deliverable Management Compile system architecture diagrams, design documents, technical proposals, operation manuals and training materials. Ensure all deliverables are clear, accurate, professional and compliant with SUPCON’s solution standards. 5. Cross‑functional Collaboration Formulate technical sales strategies together with sales teams. Liaise with product teams to synchronize market demands and feed client requirements into the product roadmap. Coordinate with project implementation teams to assess solution feasibility and mitigate potential implementation risks in advance. Job Requirements Mandatory Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Electrical/Control Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or other related disciplines. Minimum 3‑5 years of working experience in industrial automation, Industrial IoT or digitalization projects. Hands‑on proficiency in control systems including DCS, SIS, PLC and SCADA, with solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols and fundamental control engineering theories. Prior experience in deploying IIoT platforms, data acquisition and OT/IT integration complying with ISA‑95 standards is preferred. Familiarity with Industry 4.0, edge computing and overall smart‑factory deployment is preferred. Required Soft Skills Excellent presentation and client‑facing communication skills; able to translate complex technical expertise into easy‑to‑understand business‑oriented language. Self‑motivated and capable of working independently, with strong teamwork skills to collaborate within Spain’s multicultural teams. Fluent English is mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin is highly preferred. Compensation & Benefits This is a full‑time position with competitive salary determined according to the candidate’s professional experience.
