Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Java Developer role based in Dublin. The Junior Java Developer will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based services that power Corrata’s mobile security products. Daily tasks include writing clean, testable code, assisting with the development of microservices and APIs, fixing bugs, and participating in code reviews. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and security specialists to deliver new features, improve performance, and enhance reliability. The Junior Java Developer will also help document technical solutions and support continuous improvement of development practices and tools. Qualifications Industry Experience 2+ years Java/J2EE and related technologies, preferably with experience of the cybersecurity and/or mobile ecosystems. Specific systems knowledge - Java - Web services. - Cloud native development. - SQL & RDBMS (Postgres preferable). - Javascript and Vue. - Working knowledge of Linux. - Experience of source control (GIT) and use of IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse). - Experience working within an Agile software development . - Working knowledge of web analytics & best practice for integrating into online applications. - Practical experience with AI-powered development tools and agents (e.g. Claude Code) to support the software development lifecycle, including tasks such as code generation, code review, refactoring, and documentation. - Desirable - Experience in Cybersecurity product development. - Experience with secure development practices. - Experience with the mobile application development (Android and iOS). - Hands-on experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps practices with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Jenkins. - Experience demonstrating product in pre-sales environment highly desirable. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP considered a strong advantage.
