Platform Engineer (Azure) x 2 - Up to £55k - New! Location: Cardiff Working pattern: Hybrid We’re working with an large organisation that is looking for Platform Engineers to support the development and continuous improvement of software delivery capabilities within a collaborative technology team. Skills - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, build automation, automated testing and deployment tooling. - Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and cloud-based technologies. - Understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including virtualisation, containerisation and microservices. - Experience with technologies such as SQL and .NET, alongside relevant automation and infrastructure tools. - Knowledge of non-functional testing, including security, scalability, availability and reliability. - Awareness of secure coding principles and testing practices. - Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies and continuous integration principles. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, numerical reasoning and technical documentation skills. Responsibilities - Develop and enhance DevOps capabilities, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. - Build, configure and maintain technical environments, integrations and associated data throughout the software development lifecycle. - Improve build automation, source control, testing and release management processes. - Support integration and non-functional testing, including performance, security, availability and reliability. - Work across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, selecting appropriate technologies to meet delivery requirements. - Identify and implement tools and techniques that improve efficiency, reduce delivery complexity and maintain quality. - Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to understand requirements, share technical knowledge and support the adoption of new capabilities. - Use DevOps metrics and performance measures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. - Promote secure engineering practices and contribute to a strong, collaborative DevOps culture.
