Senior Software Engineer | Java, Spring Boot & React We're partnering with a leading organisation undergoing significant investment in digital platforms and customer experience technology. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve enterprise-scale applications used by millions of customers. You'll play a key role in designing, developing and delivering modern full-stack solutions, working closely with architects, product teams and fellow engineers to create scalable, resilient systems. This is an opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor engineers and work on highly visible products that have real business impact. What You'll Be Doing - Designing and developing scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot and React - Building and enhancing RESTful APIs and distributed systems - Contributing to architectural decisions and technical strategy - Working within Agile delivery teams to deliver high-quality software - Driving engineering best practices, testing, observability and CI/CD - Conducting code reviews and mentoring developers - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Architecture and Engineering What We're Looking For - 5+ years' experience in software engineering with full-stack exposure - Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience - Commercial experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks - Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems - Understanding of event-driven architectures - Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing and CI/CD - Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases - Knowledge of secure software development principles - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Experience - Apache Kafka or other streaming technologies - Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP - Test automation frameworks such as JUnit, Jest, Playwright or React Testing Library - Workforce Management, Contact Centre or Customer Experience platforms - SIP, WebRTC or CTI technologies - Accessibility and responsive design best practices - Experience owning services throughout the full software lifecycle Why Apply? - Work on large-scale, business-critical platforms - Influence architecture and engineering standards - Bonus: 15% - Mentor and support other developers - Join a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment - Opportunity to work with modern technologies and AI-assisted development tools Eligible visa statuses only: Stamp 4, Stamp 1G, Spousal visas, Student visas, and EU/EEA nationals Interested in learning more?
