Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

We would like to meet a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer for a project in Lisbon (hybrid) Responsibilities: - Execute routine AWS configuration, operational and security tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. - Monitor AWS environments and cloud vulnerability management platforms (e.g. Wiz) to identify security issues, misconfigurations and vulnerabilities. - Create, triage and follow up on vulnerability and remediation tickets using Jira Service Management, ensuring findings are assigned to the appropriate owners and tracked through resolution. - Support security requirements engineering and identify potential security issues during sprint delivery. - Escalate complex security matters and decisions requiring expert judgement to senior engineers or Security Experts. - Support the creation and maintenance of Protection Concepts for the products within scope. - Assist Product Owners and System Architects in ensuring products remain secure throughout the development lifecycle. - Actively participate in agile teams, managing assigned tasks in Jira, updating team boards and ensuring timely task completion. - Provide operational support for cybersecurity enablement activities, coordinating cross-functional tasks and tracking workflows using Microsoft Planner. - Promote security awareness and DevSecOps best practices across agile delivery teams. Requirements: - Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communication or a related field. - Up to 1 year of experience in Public Cloud Operations or an equivalent academic background / relevant certifications. - Basic knowledge of AWS administration, configuration and security fundamentals. - Basic scripting skills (Python); knowledge of Terraform or OpenTofu is a plus. - Familiarity with Linux environments. - Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including SAML and 2-factor authentication (2FA). - Structured troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to system monitoring. - Fluent in English (B2+ - is mandatory).
