AI Software Engineer – (Generative AI / Agentic AI) AVP Level - Up to £70k + Bonus + Package

Hawksworth are recruiting now for an experienced AI Software Engineer (Generative AI / Agentic AI) to join a leading global Bank! You will help develop the next generation of intelligent applications and enterprise AI solutions for this leading Financial Services organisation. This is a hands-on engineering role, working with modern Generative AI technologies to build scalable, secure and reliable applications. What we're looking for: - Strong software engineering background, developing and delivering production-quality applications. - Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs and Agentic AI. - Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and context management. - Hands-on development of AI agents, orchestration workflows and tool integrations. - Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and strong software engineering practices. - Understanding of secure development, testing and enterprise environments. Nice to have: - Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent frameworks. - Experience integrating multiple AI models and providers. - Financial services or other regulated industry experience. - Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to engineering best practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI technology within an established financial services organisation.
