In this role, you will transform existing long-form videos, podcasts, and recorded content into engaging, high-quality short-form videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate has experience in video editing, understands social media trends, and can independently produce polished, ready-to-publish content. This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after 30 days, depending on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities - Edit long-form videos and podcast recordings into engaging short-form clips. - Create high-quality content optimized for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. - Identify interesting and relevant moments from existing footage. - Add captions, transitions, and basic visual enhancements to improve video quality. - Ensure consistent branding, video formatting, and overall content quality. - Organize and maintain edited videos and content files. - Make revisions based on client feedback. - Deliver completed videos according to agreed timelines and content schedules. Qualifications - Proven experience in short-form video editing for social media. - Experience repurposing long-form videos, podcasts, or interviews into short-form content. - Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software. - Good understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts formats. - Ability to identify engaging moments and create well-paced videos. - Strong attention to detail and creativity. - Good written and verbal English communication skills. - Excellent time-management and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. - Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup. Preferred Qualifications - Experience editing podcast or interview content. - Familiarity with lifestyle, fashion, music, entertainment, or community-related content. - Experience using AI-assisted video editing tools. - Basic understanding of social media content scheduling and organization.
