Quality Assurance Engineer - English Required (Mexico only)

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a Scrum environment to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS solutions. You will contribute directly to the assessment of test objectives and the creation of test plans, use a variety of exploratory and automated testing techniques and tools, capture and leverage test and quality metrics, and execute test plans to validate pre-production software. Driven by the goal of preventing issues from reaching production, you will directly contribute to customer success and help drive TradeCentric’s next phase of growth. Reports to: Quality Assurance Engineering Manager Hours: ET timezone Location: Candidate must be located in Mexico Advanced English, both written and spoken Requirements What You’ll Do - Collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements and the goals of planned solutions - Provide feedback on and contribute to acceptance criteria for user stories - Create comprehensive test plans and test cases for both initial and regression testing - Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities - Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using various tools - Identify and thoroughly document bugs and issues - Perform revalidation and regression testing when bugs are resolved - Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts - Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies Who You Are - A great teammate: confident and passionate, yet humble and empathetic - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in QA - Advanced English, both written and spoken - A self-starter able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision - Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases - Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing for SaaS platforms - An avid problem-solver who can simulate production scenarios, replicate issues, and identify edge cases - Proficient in testing applications and APIs built with PHP 8.x and Vue.js, or similar - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) - Hands-on experience with automation scripting (Python) and SQL - Knowledge of data formats including XML, cXML, and JSON, as well as HTTP/API protocols - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Experience testing in a Scrum and CI/CD environment - Experience with source code control systems, specifically GitHub Nice to Have - Experience with performance and/or security testing - Experience in B2B, e-commerce, or integration domains and software Benefits 🚀 Opportunity to work with global brands and disruptive startups. 🏡 Remote work / Home office. 📍 If a hybrid or on-site work arrangement is required, you will be informed from the very first session. ⏳ Work schedule aligned with your assigned team/project. 📅 Monday-to-Friday work schedule. 🎓 Access to courses and certifications. 📡 Virtual team-building events and interest groups. 📢 English classes. 🏆 Opportunities across our different business lines.
