Description

Your mission At Wandelbots, we want to make building robotic applications radically easier. With Wandelbots NOVA, our software platform, automation engineers, system integrators and developers can program, simulate and run industrial robots across brands. As a Solution Engineer, you bring NOVA to life in real customer applications. You work hands-on in projects delivered by our own team, and you guide customers and partners who build their own solutions with NOVA. You enable them to become successful and independent with our product, and you bring what you learn in the field back to our product and engineering teams. What You Do Customer projects (Wandelbots-delivered) - You are part of our project teams: you help design, implement and commission robotic applications built on NOVA, from simulation to the real cell. - You know these projects inside out and become the technical point of contact for the customer after go-live, including support and further development. Customer & partner projects - You accompany projects that customers and integration partners implement themselves, as their technical sparring partner. - You review solution architectures, help with tricky technical questions and unblock teams on site or remotely. Enablement - You run trainings, workshops and onboarding sessions for customers and partners. - You build example applications, templates and best practices, and contribute to our documentation. Product feedback - You translate insights from the field into concrete product improvements together with Product and Engineering. - You help to diagnose and resolve technical issues around NOVA, its SDKs and APIs. Your profile - You have several years of experience as an automation, robotics or application engineer, ideally in customer-facing projects. - You have hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g. KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Universal Robots, Yaskawa) and know typical applications such as handling, palletizing or machine tending. - You are comfortable writing code, ideally in Python. - You understand industrial networks and communication (TCP/IP, PROFINET/EtherNet/IP, OPC UA) and can get a robot cell connected. - You are curious about AI and use it in your daily work, e.g. for development or for robotic applications. - You can explain technical concepts clearly and enjoy teaching others. - You communicate confidently and empathetically with customers and partners. - You are fluent in German (C1 or higher) and English, written and spoken. - You hold a driving license and are open to regular travel to customer sites. - You are based in Dresden, or willing to move or commute to spend about 2/3 of your time at our Dresden shopfloor, especially during the first 6 months. You are awesome if - You have experience with simulation, especially NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim. - You have worked with TypeScript, C++, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), GitLab or GitHub. - You have experience with ROS. - You have worked for a system integrator or in a technical consulting or presales role. - You have experience with machine vision or AI-based robotic applications. Why us? Make an impact! Work on a deep-tech Physical AI product that brings intelligence to the shop floor and makes industrial robotics more accessible, flexible and scalable. Become a crucial part of something new, big and exciting, and see your work make a real difference in industry and society. Our teams inspire! Cross-functional collaboration is key. You’ll work with 150+ colleagues in international teams who value knowledge sharing and unconventional ways of getting things done. Be authentic! Work in a value-driven environment where not everything is perfect yet, but we’re working on it. Your feedback is wanted, and you’ll receive feedback and appreciation for your work in return. Help others! Take up to 3 days of volunteer time off to support your favorite charity. Develop yourself! We offer training, coaching, language courses and mental health support, so you can grow both personally and professionally. And there’s even more! Hybrid work (work from anywhere in the EU), 30 days of vacation plus extra time off between Christmas and New Year, subsidied lunch, snacks and drinks, a public transport job ticket, fitness and yoga classes, Wellhub and 100% of your pay while caring for a sick child. About Us Physical AI for real-world industry Imagine factories where robots and software work as one, and where everyone from skilled craftspeople to engineers can put automation to work. Automation like this takes over monotonous, high-precision tasks and leaves more room for human creativity. At Wandelbots, we build Wandelbots NOVA, a Physical AI platform that connects data, AI and digital twins with industrial robots and machines. Our mission is to make Physical AI the backbone of how industry operates, so automation becomes a capability rather than a one-off project. Mission Founded in 2017 in Dresden, Wandelbots today brings together more than 150 people from 14 countries (please confirm this figure). We give our heart and soul to a mission we share: building bridges over barriers. Our culture Our culture is driven by purpose and values. We love autonomy, high fives and every kind of cake. We celebrate team efforts and learning moments, grow through feedback, and value kindness and empathy. We’re creative, innovative and blessed with a can-do attitude. We truly believe that robots love people, so we love them back.
