Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Silkeborg, Denmark

Technical capability is our competitive edge. Now we are looking for the person who will own it. At 2Refurb, we do not sell parts off a shelf. We sell the engineering judgement behind them. We refurbish, repair and supply electrical and electro-mechanical components for wind turbines, with one mission: keep good components in operation instead of in the scrap container. We are a young company with many years of wind industry experience behind us, in Silkeborg, Denmark and Council Bluffs, Iowa. As we grow, our current technical lead will focus fully on business development and new projects. We are therefore looking for a CTO to take over and develop our technical foundation. With your electrical background you will be a major player in strengthening our competences within the electric area. What you will do You will own the technical side of everything we deliver, in Denmark and the US. •   Own our technical knowledge base and standards – component types, failure modes, refurbishment methods and acceptance criteria •   Make sure testing and inspection protocols are fit for purpose, and build quality into production so issues are caught early •   Lead the technical response to complaints and warranty claims, incl. root cause analysis •   Give Sales, Operations and Procurement the engineering input behind their decisions – feasibility, specifications and customer documentation •   Drive R&D, continuous improvement and the digital systems that connect people, processes and data •   Keep certifications, compliance and technical documentation in order •   Be a major contributor to the management team Who you are •   An electrical engineer (BSc/MSc or equivalent) with hands-on experience in e.g. power electronics, converters, control systems or industrial electronics •   As comfortable at the test bench as in a technical discussion with a customer’s engineers •   Structured: you document, standardise and share knowledge rather than keep it in your head •   Experienced with testing, quality and root cause analysis •   Curious about how automation and data can make good engineering scale •   Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage •   Experience from the wind industry is a strong plus What we offer •   A key role in a growing company, with real influence •   An informal workplace with short decision paths •   Work that matters: keeping wind turbines running and reducing waste •   Close collaboration with management and a sales team that relies on your judgement •   An international setup with some travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa and to customer sites Primary workplace: Sabroesvej 4, Silkeborg, Denmark Ready to join us?
