Staff Embedded Software Engineer Cork, Ireland | Onsite Our client is a global semiconductor leader developing next-generation SoC and computing platforms. They are seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to develop low-level Linux kernel and platform software, working closely with hardware, silicon and architecture teams. Key Responsibilities - Develop and debug Linux kernel and platform software. - Work on PCIe and SoC technologies, including hardware/software integration and platform bring-up. - Contribute to mainline Linux and open-source development. - Provide technical leadership across platform software development. Required Experience - 7+ years in embedded software development. - Strong C/Embedded C and hands-on Linux kernel development. - Strong PCIe/PCI Express experience and upstream Linux contributions. - Experience with hardware, silicon or SoC platforms. - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Desirable Experience - UEFI, ACPI, bootloaders or platform firmware. - Yocto/OpenEmbedded and ARM/SoC architectures. - Semiconductor, cloud or high-performance computing environments.
