Description

🚀 Applied AI Engineer | Python, Node.js & Agentic AI | Scaled PropTech Platform 🌍 Remote | 📄 Permanent Contract We are looking for a hands-on Applied AI Engineer to join a fast-growing UK property-management platform automating lettings and operational workflows at enterprise scale. Having raised over $260M and currently managing a £350M+ annual rent roll, the platform is expanding its core engineering group to establish and scale production-grade agentic systems. In this role, you will have significant ownership and architectural influence across high-impact domains such as Tenant Find, Property Management, and Finance. What You’ll Be Doing: - Taking end-to-end architectural ownership of production-grade LLM and agentic systems powering core operations. - Designing, building, and deploying multi-step autonomous agents, sub-agent orchestration flows, and dynamic tool-calling interfaces. - Implementing robust evaluation frameworks, regression test suites, and continuous feedback loops to benchmark model outputs. - Driving engineering solutions to systematically improve latency, system reliability, token cost, and hallucination rates across all AI workflows. - Architecting reusable agent templates and structured output pipelines to support multi-service integration as platform acquisitions scale. - Collaborating closely with cross-functional product squads (2–3 engineers per team) to translate complex business workflows into scalable AI software. What We’re Looking For: - 3–5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within an AI-native startup or a high-velocity technology environment. - Strong backend software engineering fundamentals with production experience shipping software at scale. - Consultant mindset: high technical ownership, ability to evaluate real-world trade-offs, and clear communication across technical and product stakeholders. - Practical understanding of production engineering hurdles: prompt evaluation, task decomposition, latency optimization, and guardrails. - Proven track record of delivering reliable systems beyond proof-of-concept or purely academic research models. Must-Haves: - Strong backend proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript / Node.js, backed by PostgreSQL. - Hands-on commercial experience building, orchestrating, and shipping agentic/LLM systems into live production. - Deep expertise in agent orchestration patterns, tool calling, sub-agent delegation, and structured outputs. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve production challenges around evaluation, reliability, cost, and hallucinations. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Location & Working Setup: - 100% Remote working model. - UK Hours overlap needed: Standard UK business hours. If you are an engineer who thrives on architectural challenges, understands the power of AI-enabled workflows, and is ready to take true E2E ownership of a mission-critical platform, apply directly or reach out with your CV to discuss the role in detail!
