Joining a business-critical Portfolio & Capital team, you’ll build scalable backend services that power core revenue-generating platforms, with end-to-end ownership across design, development, and deployment in a modern AWS environment. What You’ll Do - Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python - Build cloud-native applications within a modern AWS environment - Lead greenfield engineering initiatives while driving the modernisation of legacy platforms - Work with AWS technologies including Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions, and related serverless/containerised services - Own the full development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and optimisation - Contribute to technical strategy, engineering standards, and architectural decisions - Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, business-critical solutions What You’ll Bring - Strong experience as a Senior Backend Engineer or Senior Python Developer - Deep expertise building end-to-end backend systems and APIs in Python - Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and system design principles - Strong SQL and data modelling experience, ideally within data-intensive environments - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-focused engineering culture - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams What’s in It for You Competitive salary DOE + 10% Bonus, Pension contribution, health insurance, free massages and gym membership. 📞 For a confidential discussion, contact Olga Torres on +353 1 649 8519 📧 Or send your CV to olga.torres@archer.ie
