Description
Head of IT | Hybrid | MSSP | Buckinghamshire
I'm working with an established Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) looking for a Head of IT to take ownership of its internal IT estate, driving technology strategy, infrastructure performance, security and operational efficiency.
This is an internal-facing leadership role, focused on ensuring the business has the right technology, systems and processes in place to support its own growth.
The Role
- Take ownership of the internal IT estate, including infrastructure, cloud, networking and end-user computing.
- Lead internal IT operations, ensuring the stability, security and performance of business-critical systems.
- Drive technology strategy, identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and overall efficiency.
- Oversee IT security, governance, risk management and compliance.
- Manage key technology vendors, suppliers and licensing.
- Lead internal IT projects, including infrastructure improvements, cloud adoption and digital transformation.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align IT investment with wider business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading an internal IT function within an MSP, IT services provider or similar technology-led organisation.
- A strong technical background across infrastructure, cloud, networking and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience managing IT operations, security, budgets, suppliers and technology projects.
- The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight where required.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at board and senior leadership level.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT leader to take ownership of a business's internal technology environment and make a tangible impact on its future direction.
