🚀 Senior Backend Engineer | Python & AI | Up to £110k | London Oliver Bernard have partnered with an ambitious, technology-driven business looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Python engineer who wants to work on complex, scalable systems while embracing the next generation of AI-assisted software development. 💻 The Role You'll take ownership of backend services, API design and data-intensive workflows, working closely with product and engineering teams to build reliable, scalable software. AI is central to the engineering approach, with a strong focus on agentic coding tools and spec-driven development to improve how software is designed, built, tested and delivered. 🛠️ The Tech Stack - Python & Django - Django REST Framework / FastAPI - AWS & Kubernetes - PostgreSQL, Redis & Celery - CI/CD, automated testing and distributed systems - AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor 🔎 What They're Looking For - 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience - Strong Python and Django expertise - Experience designing APIs, microservices and complex data models - A solid understanding of production reliability, testing and system architecture - Experience using AI coding tools within a professional engineering workflow - Someone who enjoys technical ownership, solving complex problems and helping other engineers develop 📍 Location: London, 3 days per week in the office 💰 Salary: Up to £110,000 Apply below for more information. #Hiring #Python #BackendEngineering #ArtificialIntelligence #SoftwareEngineering #LondonTech
