The Opportunity As the Enterprise AI Architect, you will be the strategic authority responsible for shaping the organisation's AI vision, target-state architecture, and technology roadmap. You will lead the design and governance of enterprise AI platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned to business objectives. Working closely with senior executives, technology leaders, data teams, and architecture communities, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating AI adoption while embedding strong governance, risk management, and Responsible AI principles. What You'll Be Doing - Define and drive enterprise AI architecture strategy, roadmaps, standards, and target-state architectures. - Lead the design of next-generation AI and GenAI ecosystems, including LLM platforms, agentic AI, multi-agent systems, semantic search, RAG architectures, and enterprise AI services. - Architect cloud-native AI solutions across AWS and Azure, leveraging modern API-led, event-driven, and microservices architectures. - Establish architecture governance frameworks and oversee technology investment decisions across AI programmes. - Champion Responsible AI, security-by-design, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance across all AI initiatives. - Partner with business and technology leadership to identify opportunities where AI can create measurable business value. - Provide thought leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to architecture teams and engineering communities. - Influence enterprise-wide technology decisions and shape the future AI capability of a leading financial services organisation. What We're Looking For - Extensive experience leading enterprise architecture within large, complex organisations. - Deep expertise across AI and Generative AI technologies, including: - Large Language Models (LLMs) - Agentic AI and multi-agent systems - Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) - Semantic search - Enterprise AI platforms and services - Strong cloud architecture experience across AWS and Azure. - Proven track record designing secure, scalable, production-grade AI solutions. - Experience establishing architecture governance, operating models, and technology standards. - Strong understanding of Responsible AI, security, risk, resilience, and compliance requirements. - Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and business leaders. - Previous experience working within highly regulated industries such as insurance, banking, or financial services.
