DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) | AWS, Terraform & Kubernetes | €60k p/a package | Hybrid WFH | Madrid area Location: Madrid (with 1 day travel per week 1hr from Madrid) Salary: Up to €50,000 base + up to 20% annual bonus Additional Benefits: Signing Bonus + Relocation Assistance Working arrangements: Hybrid 3 days a week in office, 2 days WFH Working language: English (Spanish is useful but not essential) Working rights: EU Citizens only due to security clearance requirements About the Opportunity Envirorec is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, well-funded international technology company developing advanced software and AI-powered solutions for enterprise customers. We are looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join an established engineering team, helping to build, automate, deploy and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure and production software platforms. Key Responsibilities - Build, maintain and optimise secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform or CloudFormation. - Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. - Design, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions or Jenkins. - Monitor production environments using Grafana, Prometheus and other observability tools. - Investigate production incidents, identify root causes and improve system reliability. - Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash or Go. - Support the deployment, performance and scalability of production APIs and enterprise software platforms. - Collaborate with software engineers and infrastructure teams to improve development and delivery processes. Essential Requirements - 2–5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure. - Strong hands-on production experience with AWS. - Commercial experience using Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, administration and troubleshooting. - Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Scripting experience with Python, Bash or Go. - Experience with production monitoring, incident management and infrastructure troubleshooting. - Fluent English, written and spoken. - EU citizenship is mandatory due to security-clearance requirements. Desirable Skills - Experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes cluster administration. - Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch or similar monitoring technologies. - Experience managing high-availability infrastructure and production APIs. - Familiarity with infrastructure security, DevSecOps and GitOps.
