Sr AI Engineer (Backend & Platform)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr AI Engineer (Backend & Platform) based in Brazil. We are seeking a senior AI engineer with a strong backend or full-stack background and hands-on experience building and operating AI agents in production. In this remote contract role, you will take ownership of the entire agent development lifecycle, from translating early concepts into technical specifications to deploying and monitoring production-ready solutions. You will work on AI-powered products supporting the trucking and fleet compliance industry, using extensive toll, inspection, safety, and vehicle data. Your work will directly influence business performance, revenue, safety, and regulatory compliance. The environment is highly autonomous, fast-paced, and focused on shipping early, learning from real users, and continuously improving engineering practices. You will collaborate with product, support, and engineering stakeholders while using coding agents as a core part of your development workflow.
