Senior Platform Engineer - F/M/X

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer / Area Lead to join its Information System & Digital scope. The role focuses on providing technical leadership and operational ownership for enterprise cloud platforms, ensuring secure provisioning, optimization, reliability, and lifecycle management across AWS, Azure, OCI, and IBM Cloud. This position combines hands-on L3/L4 support, architecture guidance, governance, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement to enable secure, governed, and repeatable cloud adoption. Your Missions - Define technical direction, engineering standards, and architecture decisions for cloud platform operations across AWS, Azure, OCI, and IBM Cloud. - Lead the provisioning, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services, including native services, IaaS, and PaaS. - Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, command-line tooling, and Infrastructure as Code, including drift detection and remediation. - Embed observability and SRE practices, automate health checks, and improve platform reliability, recoverability, and operational efficiency. - Lead the response to complex cloud incidents, resolve L3/L4 tickets, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are completed. - Define and maintain secure cloud network patterns covering VPC/VNet design, DNS, routing, peering, service endpoints, and connectivity. - Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps activities by monitoring consumption, identifying savings opportunities, and implementing effective controls. - Contribute to cloud migrations, platform lifecycle activities, security remediation, audit evidence, and the closure of cloud platform findings. Your Profile - Advanced experience in cloud platform operations, including technical leadership, architecture-level decision-making, and L3/L4 support in enterprise environments. - Hands-on expertise in at least two major cloud platforms, with AWS required and Azure, OCI, or IBM Cloud considered a strong advantage. - Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud governance, secure provisioning, tenancy hygiene, identity, network, and security baselines. - Proficiency in IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes, container platform operations, Terraform, scripting, command-line tooling, and Infrastructure as Code practices. - Practical experience with observability, SRE, ITSM automation, incident management, root cause analysis, cloud landing zones, policy-as-code guardrails, service catalog blueprints, and controlled self-service models. - Knowledge of resilient architecture, backup, disaster recovery, migration, service continuity patterns, cloud cost management, and FinOps principles. - Relevant degree, equivalent practical experience, or role-aligned professional certifications in cloud, infrastructure, security, or platform operations. - English fluent. - Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, and knowledge-sharing skills. - Ability to operate effectively in a matrix, multinational, and geographically distributed environment while remaining structured during major incidents and on-call support.
