Conduct & Values
At Nordea, we want to do what is right, not just what is allowed. When we do the right things and behave in the right way, our stakeholders will trust and value us. In return, we can all take pride in the company we work for. We are all expected to role model our organisational values, abide by our Code of Conduct, focus on delivering fair customer outcomes across the end-to-end customer lifecycle and protect the integrity of the markets we operate in. It is the responsibility of every employee to follow our Code of Conduct and to prudently manage conduct risks within their respective area of responsibility.
Purpose of the job
Lead the Digital Resilience team within NAM Governance, bringing together third-party oversight and governance, business resilience and continuity, the adoption of new technology across Governance, and creating a robust AI governance framework, supporting a clearer and more focused approach to digital operational resilience while enabling innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Team leadership and direction: Set priorities and coordinate delivery across the team’s three areas. Establish clear responsibilities, develop team capabilities and foster collaboration across Governance and with relevant NAM functions.
- Third-party Oversight and Governance: Lead oversight of third-party relationships, with particular emphasis on ICT-related arrangements and procurement. Support clear governance, coordinated stakeholder involvement and consistent ways of managing these relationships.
- Resilience and Continuity: Lead the management of business continuity planning and physical security processes, coordinating with relevant business and technology stakeholders to support continuity of NAM’s activities.
- Intelligent Capabilities: Lead support for the Governance function through automation and the adoption of AI in its ways of working. Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve efficiency and support their implementation with relevant stakeholders.
- AI governance: create a robust internal governance framework for AI implementation across NAM, aligned with Group and regulatory requirements, applying a risk-based approach.
- Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with Technology, Information Security and second-line ICT risk colleagues, maintaining clear interfaces and avoiding duplication of responsibilities.
- Delivery and communication: Maintain an overview of priorities, progress, dependencies and issues across the team’s remit. Communicate material matters to relevant stakeholders and escalate issues through agreed governance channels.
Experience And Capabilities
- Experience leading teams or cross-functional initiatives in governance, operational resilience or related areas.
- Understanding of third-party governance, ICT-related arrangements and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of business continuity planning and physical security governance.
- Ability to translate automation and AI opportunities into practical improvements in Governance ways of working.
