Head of Architecture

We're looking for an experienced technology leader to define and drive the Architecture and Cybersecurity strategy of a complex organisation undergoing significant business and technology transformation. This role will be responsible for shaping the target technology architecture, establishing technical governance and embedding security-by-design principles across critical platforms, products and technology capabilities. What you'll do - Define and drive the enterprise architecture vision and technology roadmap. - Lead the evolution of applications, integrations, APIs and digital platforms towards a scalable and modern architecture. - Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks and technical guardrails. - Lead cybersecurity strategy and security architecture across applications, identities, integrations and data flows. - Drive technology modernisation initiatives, reducing technical debt while enabling business growth and delivery speed. - Ensure resilience, recoverability and operational robustness across critical systems. - Partner with Engineering, Product, Data and Infrastructure teams to align technology decisions with business priorities. - Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and automation, balancing innovation, risk and long-term sustainability. - Develop and lead a high-performing Architecture and Cybersecurity function. What we're looking for - Extensive experience in senior Architecture, Engineering, Technology or Cybersecurity leadership roles. - Proven track record defining enterprise architecture strategies within complex, large-scale organisations. - Strong expertise in modern software architecture, cloud-native principles, APIs, distributed systems and integration patterns. - Deep understanding of cybersecurity, including application security, IAM, vulnerability management, data protection and technology risk. - Experience leading modernisation programmes and managing complex technology ecosystems. - Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders. - Fluent English and Spanish.
