Senior Software Engineer

Its technology supports remote management of fuel stocks and vehicles, automated fleet maintenance planning, fraud prevention, and seamless integration with other systems. Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain back-end services and core software components that power Zwinq’s fleet and fuel management solutions. This full-time, on-site role in The Hague involves developing scalable APIs, integrating with external systems, and optimizing data processing related to energy usage, fuel stocks, and vehicle fleets. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and other developers to translate business requirements into robust technical designs, perform code reviews, and ensure high standards of security, performance, and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, troubleshooting complex issues in production environments, and contributing to architectural decisions that support long-term product evolution. Qualifications - Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture. - Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade applications. - Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including API design and integration with external systems. - Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in large codebases. - Experience with modern back-end frameworks, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and version control systems (e.g., Git). - Background in designing scalable, secure, and high-availability systems; experience with cloud or on-premise deployments is a plus. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor other engineers. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience in logistics, energy management, or related domains is an advantage.
