Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Public Sector Account Advisor who will be responsible for serving as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our government and public sector customers, driving long-term account growth, retention, and measurable return on investment. If you love building lasting customer relationships and helping public sector fleets get the most out of their data, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
As a Public Sector Account Advisor your key area of responsibility will be driving long-term growth, retention, and demonstrable ROI across a portfolio of government and public sector accounts. You will be responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for your customers, understanding their unique business needs and objectives, monitoring account health, and proactively addressing risks before they become issues. You will also need to lead regular business reviews, build and execute account plans that uncover expansion opportunities, and turn Geotab data into clear, actionable insights that help customers run more efficient fleets. You will need to work closely with Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering teams to advocate for your customers, coordinate the right internal resources, and make sure every commitment is delivered seamlessly.
To be successful in this role you will be a proactive, organized, and trusted relationship builder who communicates clearly with everyone from fleet managers to executives, and who stays calm and solution-focused when issues need to be escalated. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement and fleet operations, the ability to articulate ROI with data, and a passion for continuously improving the customer experience.
How you'll make an impact:
-
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their unique business needs, challenges, and objectives.
-
Monitor account health, identify potential risks, and proactively address issues to prevent customer churn.
-
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, including executives, managers, and technical staff.
-
Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and explore opportunities for expansion.
-
Develop and execute account plans that drive growth and retention by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, promoting solution adoption, and demonstrating the tangible value of Geotab solutions.
-
Leverage Geotab's data and analytics capabilities to provide customers with actionable insights that help them optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and achieve their business objectives.
-
Work closely with customers to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate the ROI of Geotab solutions.
-
Lead implementation strategies to ensure solution stickiness and prevent customer churn.
What you'll bring to this role:
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-
5 to 8 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as account management, customer support, or program coordination, ideally in the public sector or fleet management industry.
-
In-depth understanding of government procurement and the unique operational challenges of fleet environments.
-
Experience supporting complex contracts or operational projects, including cross-functional coordination, escalated issue handling, and process documentation.
-
Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, Jira, and Google Workspace.
-
Ability to meet FedRAMP and CONUS compliance requirements to support federal accounts.
-
Up to 20% domestic/international travel may be required.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
