Company Description NewPaZt UV-C Pasteurization Spinout is an emerging venture focused on translating UV-C pasteurization research into practical, commercial solutions. Based in Limerick, the start-up aims to develop safe, efficient, and scalable technologies to improve food safety and liquid sterilization processes. The team is currently building its core founding group, offering significant influence over product development, market strategy, and company culture. This environment is well-suited for individuals interested in science-based innovation, entrepreneurship, and impact-driven technology commercialization. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Co-Founder role located in Limerick. The Co-Founder will collaborate closely with technical and academic partners to shape the company’s strategic direction, define value propositions, and refine the business model. Day-to-day responsibilities include technical leadership in nutrient PAT for the pasteurization industry. Qualifications - Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, assess market opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. - Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities. - Research skills for gathering market insights, validating assumptions, and supporting evidence-based business planning, working with RPOs in Ireland & EU. - Background or strong interest in deep tech, hardware, or scientific innovation, experience in food tech, biotech, or related fields is an advantage. - Previous startup, business development, or entrepreneurial experience is highly beneficial. - Ph.D. in biosciences, food science, bio-engineering, dairy science, PF or similar. - Ability to work on-site in Limerick, collaborate across disciplines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic early-stage environment.
