Lead Protection and Control Technician

The Lead Protection and Control Technician will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical substations and power grid infrastructure. This position focuses on commissioning, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing complex protective relays and control systems. You will work with advanced protection technologies, including microprocessor and electromechanical relays, SCADA systems, and substation automation equipment. As a technical leader, you will coordinate field activities, oversee commissioning assignments, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. The role also involves providing technical guidance, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting field service teams on complex engineering challenges. Working across indoor and outdoor environments, you will collaborate with utility clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable power infrastructure solutions.
