CTO — Commercial PV 📍 Viseu, Portugal ✅ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND LOCAL RESIDENCE - Candidates must currently reside in Portugal. - A minimum of 10 years of management experience is mandatory. - Candidates with no management experience or fewer than 10 years of management experience do not qualify. - Cross-industry management experience is welcome, alongside the electrical engineering and PV expertise required for this role. This position focuses on technical leadership for solar installations serving beverage-production and bottling facilities. We are looking for someone who can organise engineering work, challenge incomplete assumptions and ensure that designs reflect the conditions of an operating production site. Technical decisions must be understandable, documented and supported by appropriate specialist input. ⚙️ Your technical priorities - Define engineering standards, review stages and approval responsibilities. - Assess electricity profiles, system configurations and electrical integration. - Review equipment specifications and generation assumptions. - Coordinate structural and connection assessments with qualified advisers. - Guide technical teams through design changes and installation queries. - Investigate performance concerns and establish corrective technical actions. - Set commissioning requirements and review evidence supporting acceptance. 🔧 Professional cooperation Relationships with Portuguese engineering consultants, qualified electrical contractors, equipment specialists and factory facility teams are useful. An established local network is an advantage, not a prerequisite. Candidates must demonstrate actual responsibility for technical people, functions or programmes. Management experience alone does not replace the engineering competence required. Languages: Portuguese and English.
