C# Developer - Investment Banking

Senior Software Developer – C#/.NET Dublin, Ireland | €60,000–€120,000 | Hybrid (3 days onsite) Build mission-critical technology for global financial markets. Join a leading international banking group with a strong presence across corporate banking, investment banking and global markets. You'll be part of a global Sales & Trading technology team, developing critical middleware that connects front-, middle- and back-office systems and supports complex financial markets operations. This is a hands-on engineering role offering exposure to enterprise-scale trading technology, with opportunities to work alongside international development teams and support systems used across the trade lifecycle. What you'll be doing - Design, develop and maintain mission-critical middleware applications connecting front-, middle- and back-office trading systems. - Build robust software solutions using C#/.NET 6+ and/or C++, alongside Microsoft SQL Server. - Develop and optimise messaging, data transfer and processing systems supporting financial markets applications. - Contribute to the integration and evolution of platforms supporting Fixed Income and Derivatives products and trading workflows. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Contribute to system architecture, technical design, implementation, testing and production support. - Balance project delivery, business-as-usual development and support while maintaining high standards of performance, security and reliability. What we're looking for - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. - 10+ years of relevant software development experience. - Strong hands-on programming skills in C#/.NET 6+ and/or C++. - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, system architecture and application integration. - Understanding of messaging architectures, data transfer and processing patterns. - Strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Financial markets experience - Knowledge or experience of Fixed Income and Derivatives products, trading workflows or supporting technology. - Understanding of how trading systems interact across the front, middle and back office. - Experience within investment banking, capital markets or Sales & Trading technology would be highly advantageous.
