Platform Engineer

DevOps Platform Engineer Leicester, East Midlands, Leicestershire Were looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to build and maintain the internal platform that enables development teams to deliver software quickly, securely and reliably across cloud and on-premises environments. THe Platform Engineer will work across Kubernetes, GitOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and security, while helping create self-service tools and automation that make developers lives easier. Key skills for this Platform Engineer: - Strong production experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Linux - AWS or another major cloud platform - Terraform, Ansible, Helm and Argo CD - CI/CD using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar - Monitoring and observability, ideally OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana - Networking, security, secrets management and disaster recovery - Scripting/programming with Go, Python or Bash - Experience with on-premises/bare-metal environments Experience with OpenShift, K3s, Docker Swarm, Cilium/eBPF, Backstage or AI-assisted engineering tools would be advantageous.
