Description

Senior Principal Security Engineer As a Senior Principal Security Engineer, you will help define and drive security across both our enterprise environment and our products. You will serve as a senior technical leader, tackling the company’s most complex security challenges while partnering with engineering, infrastructure, IT, and business teams. This is a highly hands-on role with broad influence. You will lead the response to high-impact security incidents, strengthen product security through threat modeling, hunt and mitigate emerging threats, and guide security architecture across the organization. You will own critical initiatives from strategy and design through implementation, helping teams make sound security decisions without unnecessarily slowing delivery. Role and Responsibilities: •Drive security strategy and engineering across enterprise systems, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and customer-facing products. •Lead the technical response to high-impact security incidents, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident improvement. •Conduct threat modeling for new products, features, architectures, and AI-assisted workflows. •Proactively hunt for emerging threats and develop detections, controls, and mitigations based on identified risks. •Define and review security architectures, design patterns, and technical standards across the organization. •Identify systemic security risks and translate them into pragmatic, prioritized engineering initiatives. •Build tools and automation that improve security visibility, response effectiveness, and operational scale. •Evaluate and improve endpoint security capabilities across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including EDR, DLP, MDM, and secure-browser technologies. •Partner with engineering and platform teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle. •Provide technical leadership during major security projects, guiding work from initial design through production delivery. •Communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical teams, business partners, and executive stakeholders. •Mentor engineers and help strengthen security judgment and accountability across the company. Our Ideal Principal Security Engineer Will Have: •10+ years of hands-on information security experience spanning areas such as security engineering, detection engineering, threat intelligence, incident response, or product security. •Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, C, C++, or JavaScript. •Experience using AI-assisted development tools to build, review, or improve production-quality software and security automation. •Hands-on experience with endpoint security technologies—including EDR, DLP, MDM, and secure browsers—across Windows, macOS, and Linux. •A strong understanding of operating systems, network protocols, application platforms, and endpoint security principles and practices. •Experience leading major technical initiatives from architecture and design through implementation and delivery with limited supervision. •Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate ambiguous or complex security issues. •A track record of influencing engineering and security outcomes across organizational boundaries. •A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Bonus Points for the Following: •Experience evaluating, building, or operating AI security solutions. •Experience securing AI-assisted development environments, agents, models, data pipelines, or other AI-enabled workflows. •Experience with infrastructure from major cloud providers, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure. •Experience securing enterprise SaaS platforms and large-scale corporate environments. •Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or comparable credentials. •Experience developing threat detections, automating incident-response workflows, or building internal security tooling. •The ability to explain complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Why Join Us: You will have the opportunity to shape security across the full technology stack—from employee endpoints and enterprise systems to cloud infrastructure and customer-facing products. Your work will directly influence how the company manages risk, responds to threats, and builds secure technology at scale. We value people who combine deep technical expertise with sound judgment, curiosity, and a collaborative approach. If you enjoy solving difficult security problems and creating durable improvements across an organization, we would like to hear from you.
