This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about Microsoft Azure, Cloud Infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and DevOps, working in a complex enterprise environment where security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence are essential. 🧡 About the Project You will join a multidisciplinary technology team responsible for building, managing, and evolving cloud infrastructure and services within a highly regulated financial environment. Working closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Developers, Cybersecurity teams, and other technical stakeholders, you will help design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role requires strong hands-on Azure experience, an automation mindset, solid troubleshooting skills, and a good understanding of cloud security, networking, governance, and infrastructure best practices. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure. - Manage and optimize Azure resources across different environments. - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep. - Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. - Manage Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups, Private Endpoints, VPNs, and Load Balancers. - Support identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure RBAC. - Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. - Contribute to cloud security, governance, and compliance initiatives. - Support containerized environments and workloads using Docker and, where applicable, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). - Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and deployment issues. - Ensure cloud environments follow security, availability, performance, and scalability best practices. - Collaborate with development and architecture teams to support cloud-native and hybrid solutions. - Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintain technical documentation and contribute to cloud standards and best practices. Skills & Experience - +4 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, or similar roles. - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. - Experience with key Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Azure Functions, App Services, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. - Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, VPNs, and Load Balancing. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and/or Bicep. - Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and repositories. - Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault. - Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Bash. - Knowledge of Docker and container technologies. - Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is highly valued. - Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices. - Knowledge of Azure Policy and cloud governance concepts is valued. - Experience with monitoring and observability solutions within Azure. - Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server environments. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. - Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments. - Fluent in English. 📍 Location Portugal | Hybrid Model (Lisbon) Why Empa‑T?
