- Lead incident response, root cause analysis and service improvements to minimise disruption.
- Manage cloud security, access controls, vulnerability remediation and ISO 27001 compliance.
- Oversee disaster recovery, backup management and business continuity testing.
- Lead the migration of workloads from AWS, GCP and OVH into Microsoft Azure.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure, including networking, storage and landing zones.
- Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep and CI/CD pipelines.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex to improve automation and operational efficiency.
- Manage cloud infrastructure budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor expenditure.
- Provide technical leadership and work closely with engineering, infrastructure and security teams to support platform modernisation.
Skills & Experience
- At least five years' experience in a senior Azure engineering or cloud infrastructure role, managing production environments.
- Strong Microsoft Azure expertise, including networking, storage, virtual machines, Microsoft Entra ID, monitoring and disaster recovery.
- Experience managing production workloads across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, SQL Server infrastructure, failover clustering and Always On availability groups.
- Proven experience migrating production workloads into Azure from other cloud or hosting providers.
- Strong understanding of Azure architecture, landing zones, cloud governance and security best practices.
- Experience designing and managing secure cloud networks, firewalls, identity controls and highly available SaaS infrastructure.
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, PRTG or Grafana.
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity and ISO 27001 requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex to improve automation.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure costs, budgets and optimisation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
- Flexibility to support planned maintenance and critical incidents outside normal working hours.
Desirable
- Experience with OVH hosting and cloud consolidation programmes.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Octopus Deploy.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP certifications.
