Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer opportunity - Quantitative Technology - London - Looking for a strong Linux Platform Engineer with experience across Linux administration, automation and infrastructure provisioning - You'll be joining a newly formed Platform Engineering team responsible for the Linux desktop estate, including the OS images, build pipelines and tooling used to provision machines across the business - The focus is on maintaining and evolving automated Linux image builds using Dagger, Packer, Jenkins and Bash, alongside Python-based provisioning tooling - You'll bring strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, with experience across filesystems, package management, networking, CPU, memory and system performance - Experience with OpenStack, Ironic, bare-metal provisioning, virtualisation and infrastructure automation will be particularly relevant - You'll also work across security, certificate management, vulnerability remediation, patching, monitoring and hardware lifecycle management - Python scripting, CI/CD pipelines, dashboards and BMC / lights-out management experience would all be valuable This is a genuinely broad Platform Engineering opportunity within a highly technical quantitative environment. You'll be joining a small, newly formed team with significant ownership across Linux infrastructure, automation, provisioning and the wider desktop platform.
