Cloud Engineer – Live Video & GPU Infrastructure Hybrid (London, 1 day per week in office - very flexible) Up to £100k + bonus + pension About the role Our client is a fast-growing, live streaming business that enhances live broadcasts using real-time video processing. They are moving their platform from on-premises hardware to the cloud, and they need a Cloud Engineer to help design and build it. You’ll be running GPU-heavy video workloads on demand, close to end customers, in a small, collaborative engineering team. What you will do - Design and prototype a cloud platform for real-time video processing, then take it into production - Build infrastructure as code so environments can be created and torn down automatically around live events - Work on orchestration that starts servers, connects them to video inputs and outputs, and shuts them down cleanly - Evaluate cloud providers and GPU options on performance, latency and cost, and recommend the best fit - Help design content distribution (CDN) for delivering video to downstream services and applications - Containerise workloads with Docker and run them on Kubernetes - Build in security, monitoring and scalability from the start What you bring - Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) - Experience with more than one cloud provider (AWS plus at least one of Azure, GCP, OCI or specialist GPU clouds) - Docker and Kubernetes - Understanding of server and GPU hardware and how cloud providers offer it - Knowledge of CDNs and content delivery - Solid grounding in cloud security and scaling - Initiative, curiosity and comfort working in a small remote team Nice to have - On-premises or data centre experience - Video streaming or broadcast experience (SRT, RTMP, HLS, low-latency delivery) - Experience with workflow or orchestration engines If this sounds liek a good fit, or you'd like to learn more about the company or the role, please apply directly with your most recent CV and the team will be in touch
