Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer, you will be the link between customer requirements and technical solutions within the maritime sector. You will prepare cost calculations and quotations for electrical and automation systems, gather technical information, and translate customer requests into clear and suitable proposals. You will work closely with colleagues across different disciplines to ensure enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally. What will you do? - Prepare cost calculations and quotations for maritime electrical and automation systems - Analyse customer enquiries and identify technical requirements - Gather the necessary technical and commercial information - Develop suitable technical solutions in collaboration with internal departments - Translate customer requirements into clear and competitive proposals - Support quotations for new-build, service, and conversion projects - Maintain contact with customers and internal stakeholders - Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and other departments - Ensure enquiries are handled accurately and within agreed deadlines What do you bring? - Completed MBO or HBO education, preferably in Electrical Engineering - Experience in a technical environment, preferably within the maritime sector - Technical understanding of electrical and automation systems - Experience with cost calculations, quotations, or technical sales is an advantage - Strong communication and customer-oriented skills - Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions - Independent, proactive, and responsible working attitude - Good command of English Job details - Location: Drachten / Nijmegen / Krimpen aan den IJssel, Netherlands - Working model: Hybrid - Benefits: 25 vacation days, 13 ADV days, overtime compensation, laptop, phone, pension plan, and development opportunities - Industry: Maritime / Marine Engineering / Electrical & Automation - Projects: Superyachts, offshore installations, new-build, service, and conversion projects
