System and Infrastructure Administrator & Project Lead

The Position We are looking for an experienced System and Infrastructure Administrator & Project Lead to maintain and optimize our core on-premises IT infrastructure while spearheading our transition to a hybrid cloud model. In this role, you will be part of a team managing a robust environment featuring 16+ VMware hosts and approximately 200 servers supporting 1,000 users. You will deploy new solutions to keep our environment secure, lead critical infrastructure projects, and collaborate closely with Forvis Mazars global IT and our local Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Key Responsibilities - Maintain and optimize our core on-premises environment powered by VMware vSphere 8 and Windows Server 2019. - Manage a domain-based Active Directory environment, ensuring robust Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and secure access management. - Act as the final point of escalation for complex infrastructure and server-level technical issues. - Own the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects — from scoping and risk assessment to implementation and documentation. - Translate technical milestones and risks into clear documentation for business leadership and non-technical stakeholders. - Follow ISO27001 framework Ideal Candidate - 5+ years of experience in Windows Systems Administration in an enterprise environment (1,000+ users preferred). - Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter (specifically vSphere 8 or recent versions). - Knowledge of Windows Server 2016+ (2019 preferred), Active Directory, and other standard Windows systems like DNS, DHCP - Solid understanding of core Azure concepts (IaaS, PaaS, resource groups, virtual networking, storages, etc. - Familiarity with project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Prince2, or standard PMP principles) - Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting. - Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) (highly recommended) - Parallels RAS Server knowledge is a plus - Other certs related to IT or project management will be a bonus Don’t wait.
