🚀 OpenShift L3 (PaaS Admin) | OCP 4.x & Kubernetes | Enterprise Cloud Platform 🌍 Remote | 📄 Permanent Contract | We are looking for an experienced OpenShift L3 (PaaS Admin) to join an in-house technology consultancy of a global consulting firm on a high-stakes, Permanent contract. In this role, you will take technical ownership of deploying, managing, and hardening enterprise Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) environments and distributed Kubernetes infrastructure. Working closely with international engineering teams, you will act as a senior technical authority bridging customer-facing consulting with deep infrastructure engineering, automation, and enterprise platform reliability. What You’ll Be Doing: - Taking end-to-end technical ownership of multi-cluster Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) platform administration, lifecycle operations, and infrastructure scaling. - Leading hands-on cluster deployments and provisioning across bare-metal and virtualized environments using UPI and IPI installation methods on Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS (RHCOS). - Managing container-native storage solutions (Ceph, Gluster, ODF/OCS) and virtualization layers (KVM, VMware, OpenStack). - Driving platform networking, SDN/CNI configurations, Kubernetes security controls, logging, and observability frameworks. - Designing and implementing automated GitOps workflows, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and configuration automation using Ansible. - Serving as the primary L3 escalation point, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex runtime bottlenecks, and consulting directly with technical stakeholders. What We’re Looking For: - 10+ years of commercial experience in customer-facing technical consultant, administrator, or infrastructure engineering roles. - 6+ years of specialized hands-on delivery experience across Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms. - Consultant mindset: proactive problem solver, strong sense of technical ownership, clear communication skills, and the ability to guide non-technical audiences through platform decisions. - Experience executing OpenShift 3.x to 4.x platform migrations is a distinct plus. - Official Red Hat / OpenShift certifications (e.g. EX280, EX188) or Public Cloud credentials (AWS, Azure, GCP) are strongly valued. - Strong professional English proficiency for daily international collaboration. Must-Haves: - 10+ years in customer-facing consultant/admin/engineer roles. - 6+ years of dedicated experience on OpenShift and Kubernetes. - Deep hands-on proficiency in OCP 4.x installation (UPI/IPI), RHCOS, and multi-cluster management. - Virtualization (KVM, VMware) and OpenStack platform experience. - Solid background in container-native storage (Ceph, Gluster, ODF/OCS). - Practical expertise in SDN/Networking, Kubernetes security, monitoring/logging, GitOps, Jenkins CI/CD, and Ansible.
