Senior Security Engineer

Cyber Security Engineer Location: Manchester (Remote-first, approx 2x per month on site) Salary: Up to £80,000 + Benefits Package NOTE: To be eligible for this opportunity, you must hold active UK Security Clearance (SC). Are you a Security Cleared Cyber Security Engineer looking to work on complex, high-impact projects within secure environments? We're seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing security function, helping to design, implement and improve security controls across modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while playing a key role in protecting critical systems and data. What You'll Be Doing - Designing and implementing security controls across cloud and on-premise environments - Working closely with engineering and security teams to embed security best practices - Managing and improving SIEM platforms, logging pipelines and security monitoring capabilities - Supporting incident response activities and security investigations - Conducting security assessments, infrastructure reviews and vulnerability remediation - Automating security processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code principles - Developing and maintaining security standards, policies and procedures - Contributing to the continuous improvement of the wider security engineering capability What We're Looking For - 5+ years' commercial experience in Cyber Security Engineering - Active SC Clearance - Experience across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP - Knowledge of SIEM technologies such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, ELK or similar - Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell or Bash - Understanding of networking, infrastructure security and vulnerability management - Experience operating within secure or regulated environments - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills If you're a Security Cleared Cyber Security Engineer looking for a role where you can have genuine impact while working on meaningful projects, we'd love to hear from you.
