AI Engineer (Senior Level) Rotterdam | €140,000 base + bonus + equity + benefits This is a rare opportunity to operate at founder level within a high growth business undergoing a full AI transformation. You will work directly alongside leadership to rebuild a profitable, scaled platform with AI at its core, owning what gets built and how it drives commercial impact. AI is not an experiment here, it is central to how the business is being rebuilt across product, pricing and customer experience. The environment is hands on, with no layers and a strong focus on delivering impact quickly. The Role You will act as a founding level individual contributor, identifying and building the most valuable AI opportunities across the business. - Identify high impact business problems and translate them into AI driven solutions - Define the commercial case for what should be built, focusing on revenue, margin and efficiency gains - Design, build and deploy production grade AI systems across pricing, content, product and internal tooling - Own the full lifecycle from idea through to deployment, measurement and iteration - Work directly with founders on critical initiatives and strategic direction - Continuously prioritise the highest leverage problems to maximise business impac - Build scalable, cost efficient systems with strong awareness of LLM economics and architecture Your Skills and Experience - Strong experience building and deploying AI solutions in production environments - Proven commercial mindset with the ability to link technical work to business outcomes - Background as a technical founder, early stage CTO or high impact builder in a startup or scale up - Ability to operate independently without predefined roadmaps or structured briefs - Track record of initiating, owning and delivering impactful projects end to end - Strong understanding of modern AI tooling, including LLMs, agents and automation framework - Comfortable working in a fast moving, ambiguous environment with a focus on execution What They Offer - Base salary between €140,000 with a performance bonus - Equity package aligned to a founding level hire - Significant autonomy and direct access to founders - High impact role within a scaled and profitable business - Modern tooling budget including dedicated hardware allowance - Opportunity to shape one of the most ambitious AI transformations in the Netherlands - Clear scope to influence company wide strategy and outcomes How to Apply If you are excited by building commercially impactful AI systems at scale and operating with full ownership, please apply with your CV.
