Release Manager

Role: Release Manager Location: Bonn, Germany Employment type: Full time Permanent Roles and Responsibilities: - 10+ years of experience in software delivery, DevOps, IT service operations, or project management. - 3+ years of dedicated experience as a Release Manager, Delivery Lead, or Release Train Engineer managing complex multi-team software deployments. - Methodology & Process: - In-depth knowledge of Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and traditional Waterfall/V-Model delivery approaches. - Strong foundation in ITIL framework principles, specifically Change Management, Release & Deployment Management, and Service Validation. - Technical Acumen: - Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD). - Working knowledge of version control workflows (e.g., Git branching strategies such as Gitflow, Trunk-Based Development). - Understanding of containerization and modern environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). - Proficiency with enterprise ticketing, portfolio, and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow).
