Description
Company Description Spatial7 is a next-generation technology company transforming how organizations monitor, maintain, and optimize physical infrastructure. By combining AI with a cloud-based SaaS Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform, Spatial7 delivers real-time visibility across complex asset networks. The platform provides spatial context, predictive insights, and automated workflows in a single scalable solution designed for modern teams. Operating entirely in the cloud, Spatial7 enables fast deployment, collaborative work, and continuous intelligence. Businesses across industries use Spatial7 to improve preventative maintenance, reduce downtime, and make more informed capital investment decisions.
Role Description This full-time Lead Full Stack/DevOps Engineer role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Ipswich Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves leading the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native features for the Spatial7 EAM platform, spanning front-end and back-end services. You will build and maintain CI pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and ensure robust, scalable, and secure environments for production workloads. Daily activities include reviewing and writing high-quality code, conducting system and performance monitoring, troubleshooting incidents, and improving automation across the stack. You will collaborate closely with product, data, and operations teams, mentor other engineers, and contribute to technical roadmaps and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong software development skills, ideally across full-stack web technologies (e.g., TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or similar; modern frameworks; RESTful or GraphQL APIs).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) for managing cloud environments.
- Background in Continuous Integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
- Hands-on System Administration and Linux experience, including monitoring, logging, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in SaaS, data-intensive systems, or asset management platforms is an advantage.
