This role requires an active DoD Common Access Card — if you don’t have one, this project isn’t a fit, but we run other annotation projects without that requirement. What matters is a careful eye and the discipline to stay accurate across long sessions. What you’ll do - Review machine-generated bounding boxes on still imagery and correct the ones that are off. - Find and label objects the model missed. - Apply the labeling guidelines consistently across every image. - Work within a secure Navy environment using the provided tools. - Maintain steady throughput — you’re paid per submitted image. - Flag ambiguous cases to the team instead of guessing. - Move into video frame annotation as the project expands. What we’re looking for - U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Common Access Card (CAC). - Strong attention to detail and the patience for repetitive, accuracy-critical work. - Experience with data labeling or bounding box annotation is a plus, but not required. - Familiarity with aerial, maritime, satellite, or thermal imagery is a plus. - Comfortable learning new labeling software. - Clear written and verbal communication.
