Technical Director| Digital Engineering & AI | €175k

Ingenio is partnering with a leading digital engineering consultancy to hire a Technical Director to join its growing delivery organisation. This is a senior, client-facing technical leadership role for someone who combines strong software engineering and architecture expertise with practical AI experience and a proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams. This is not a traditional Programme Director or Delivery Manager role. Technical depth, practical AI experience and leadership at scale are essential. What You'll Do - Lead the technical direction of complex software engineering programmes across multiple teams. - Engage with senior clients to understand business needs and define technical solutions and architecture. - Translate business requirements into delivery plans, team structures, timelines and technical approaches. - Design, build or oversee the integration of AI-enabled solutions into real-world environments. - Guide engineering teams, manage technical risks and ensure high-quality delivery. - Support technical discovery, solution design and pre-sales activities where needed. - Package up to €175k + 20% bonus + commission What We're Looking For - Strong software engineering background and experience architecting complex solutions. - Practical AI experience, with demonstrable involvement in designing, building or integrating AI-enabled solutions. - Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and large-scale technical programmes. - Strong client-facing skills, including engagement with CIOs, CTOs and senior business stakeholders. - Broad technical expertise across software engineering, architecture, cloud and modern development practices. - Ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions and delivery plans.
